Some of the benefits of Facebook Pages include high visibility on the Facebook Homepage, two-way status update communication and a low cost of set-up and maintenance. Facebook Pages are at the center of Facebook’s business strategy and many third party developers are working on enterprise solutions for Facebook Pages. Companies should be interested in creating and maintaining a Facebook Page.

Please summarize your position on Facebook Applications

In order to create an effective Facebook Application it’s important to involve someone who has experience creating and growing applications or in the least has experience analyzing tricks that successful applications employ, such as successful leveraging of the Facebook stream (see: LivingSocial). Some advice for first time Application developers are: KISS - keep it simple stupid, take advantage of the homepage stream and lower your growth expectations while simultaneously being prepared to scale in the event of massive growth.
