Why Facebook Fans won’t see your Page Updates
If you’re an admin for a Facebook Page there are three reasons why Fans may not see your fan Page updates.
#1 They became a fan prior to the homepage redesign of March 2009.
In March 2009 Facebook allowed Pages to posts ‘Twitter-like’ status updates. The problem was what to do with those Pages that had millions of fans prior to the redesign. Would Facebook users suddenly be inundated by Page updates on their homepage? The design decision was to hide Page updates from the homepage if you had already been a fan of the Page.
#2 They have clicked ‘Hide’ on a prior Page update.
Clicking ‘Hide’ on a Page update will hide all subsequent updates.
#3 The user has more than 250 friends and Page connections.
In order to decrease clutter in the homepage stream users with a large number of connections are spared Page updates if their number of friends is more than 250. This setting, along with Reasons #1 and #2 can be changed by editing a user’s homepage settings by clicking ‘Edit Options’ on the Homepage.
